Case Study: Hospital Commercial Kitchen

Food Flooring overhauls the surface of a hospital commercial kitchen.

This commercial kitchen had existing vinyl tiles that were in need of replacement. Over time some had broken away and allowed water and contaminates to damage the underlying concrete. The solution was to remove the tiles and carry out concrete repairs to the floor. This was followed with the installation of Food Flooring's 3mm epoxy. To attain slip resistance compliant with Australian standards an overcoat epoxy was applied with a mild non-slip additive. The result was a seamless and impervious finish. Hospital management was now confident with staff trafficking the area. Staff themselves also noted how easy the surface is to clean and maintain. Radius coving was also installed to meet health and safety guidelines for food preparation areas.
